Turn In Your Forms
Over this month of September we've made available two different forms that we'd love for you to consider filling out.
One is our Membership Commitments Form to be completed if you would like to be a member at Southside for the coming year. If you have signed one of these in previous years and still want to be a member, please sign another form now and turn it in as our membership is a commitment for one year at at time.
The second is our Southsiders Serving Others form for all that call Southside home. If you're not serving on a team, this is a chance to join one. If you already serve, still filling out the back side of this form helps our benevolence team know who has what skills that can help members in our congregation as needs arise.
This Sunday is the last day to turn these in!
If you don't have a copy of either form, they are available at the Information Board in the lobby. You can turn completed forms in at the Welcome Desk. We appreciate your attention to these logistical pieces that help us stay organized!
Annual Congregational Meeting
October 14th, 7:00-8:30pm
At our first Annual Congregational Meeting, we’ll cover a lot! Why we planted a church in Wooster. Where we’ve come from as a church. Where we’re headed. What we feel needs some attention. Clarity is kindness – and we pray this meeting will provide plenty of clarity. There will be a members only vote on some changes we’re proposing to our bylaws, but all are welcome to attend the evening no matter your membership status. It will be an important meeting, a time to renew our vision of what it means to be a vibrant community of disciples, lovingly connected to the vine, and to one another through Christ. We hope you’ll consider making it a priority in your calendar - it will be well worth your time.
We will have childcare provided, we just ask that you register for that at the Welcome Desk in the lobby to let us know how many kids and what age(s) they are.
Southside Fall Read
As we had read Ordinary over the summer, Greg has selected another book for the fall season that we're encouraging everyone to read together as a church. It's called An Unhurried Life: Following Jesus' Rhythms of Work and Rest by Alan Fadling. We’re reading just one chapter a week, and we only just started last week so you can jump right in on chapter 2 with us this coming week. A few copies are still available in the Resource Room for $10 each.
Baby Bottle Drive Total
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your generosity in raising funds for the Pregnancy Care Center through the baby bottle drive we did in August. We raised $1,382.48 across the congregation and with the donor match, a total of $2,764.96!
Baby Dedication - Nov 8th
We will be having a baby dedication on Sunday, November 8th at our 10:30am service. If you have a child you would like to have dedicated, or if you are interested about what this means for you and your child and want to learn more, please sign up in the Resource Room by October 11th.

Wish List
We have an Amazon wish list that we update periodically with current needs as an option to serve Southside for those who are looking for small sporadic opportunities. Purchasing items from this list helps to make our Sunday morning gatherings thrive - anything from diapers for the nursery, to snacks for our Kids Ministry, to basic cleaning supplies.
