Latest GRO Team Update

We recently purchased the building that is currently and temporarily located in the northeast corner of the parking lot. We hope to begin using it on Sunday mornings for the elementary school class later this spring once it is moved to its permanent location at the northeast section of our yard and once it is finished inside. Our timeline is dependent on the weather and the condition of the ground during spring rainfall.

Destiny Rescue Love Offering

In response to Jared sharing with us the work of Destiny Rescue last Sunday, we want to give a love offering through the month of April. $1,500 can rescue one child. How many might we be able to rescue together? You can give online or physically in the Offering Box at the back of the sanctuary. If giving online, select “Destiny Rescue” from the dropdown. If writing a check, make it payable to Southside and write Destiny Rescue on the memo line. If giving cash, make sure to grab an envelope on the side of the Offering Box and label that the cash is for Destiny Rescue.

High School Graduates

It’s that time of year again. If you are graduating from high school this spring, we’d like to launch you into the next phase of your life with lots of Southside love and support. No matter what your plans are for next year - school, military, gap year, work, whatever - we will have Southsiders who will send you care packages & pray for you throughout this upcoming year. The form to fill out & return can be found at our information board in the lobby.

Zine Submissions

If you have a submission for Altered, our Art + Literacy mini magazine, please email that to Rhea Sustar at zine@southsidewooster.com

Medicare 101 Workshop

Medicare can be a confusing topic, but Sean Lally will be answering questions once again here at Southside on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00am in an educational session breaking down how Medicare works and how it can benefit those aged 65 and older or those with a disability. There will also be an open Q&A. This event is open to the community so feel free to invite a friend or neighbor. Refreshments will be provided so please RSVP in the Resource Room so they can plan accordingly. If you can't make it to this one, we'll have it again on July 12th and September 20th!
