Disney Trivia Night
Need a little fun to break up the winter blues? We’re having a Disney Trivia Night on Feb 21st from 6:30-8:30pm here at Southside! All avenues of Disney related anything are fair game. Compete in teams of 4-5, and you can bring outside help. Friends or family that don’t attend Southside are more than welcome! Just make sure to sign up by texting Jimmy Banks at 330-329-0815 with your name and your team name.

On Sunday, January 25th, as part of our service, we will have an opportunity to learn more about our Sunday morning ministries. If you’ve been attending Southside for a year or more and aren’t serving somewhere already, we ask you to prayerfully consider ahead of the ministry fair asking “God, where would you have me serve? What would you have me do?”
Here are the ministry teams we could use your help in:

Night To Shine
Night to Shine is a prom-like event that serves over 300 special needs guests and over 200 of their loved ones and caretakers. Locally, it is held at Grace Church and this year will be on February 13th from 6-9pm. We have an opportunity to serve our community through this event and Carol Mills is heading up the foodservice team where we would love to have Southsiders make up that entire team! For more details and for registration information you can talk to Carol Mills (#330-466-1618), visit Night to Shine's volunteer page here, or sign up on the volunteer list in the Resource Room by Feb 1st.
In Step With The Spirit
Our women’s Bible study this winter will be led by Sharla Clark, exploring Paul’s letter to the newly-established churches of Galatia, most likely the first of his many letters. With the new Kingdom still very much in its infancy, there were some issues that arose, sadly causing conflict and division rather than the unity Jesus intended. It was vitally important that Paul aggressively address these issues that were so foundational for the continued growth of this new spiritual Kingdom.
In our study, together we will dive into these early issues with an emphasis on why these kingdom-forming truths remain absolutely critical for our own spiritual walk, and how they ground us in what it truly means to “keep in step with the Spirit.” (Gal. 5:25)
We will meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm at Southside from February 12th - March 26th. Sign up in the Resource Room!
Meal Trains
We're so excited each time we add a new baby to Southside, and we want to lift up and support these families well during the adjustment period. One simple way to truly care for them is by bringing them a meal. You don't even have to make it yourself, you can bring them their favorite takeout, but the comfort of food you bring right to their doorstep lightens their load immensely. We'll be sharing those meal trains as each new baby makes their debut.
Mackenzie & Trish Moore welcomed their second little boy to their family! Sign up here to bring the Moore's a meal.
The Howell’s welcomed a baby boy to their family! Sign up here to bring them a meal.
Snow Days
As we head into the likelihood of more snowy Sunday mornings, if we need to cancel service due to the weather, we will plan to post that information by 7AM on both our website and our Facebook page. We won’t have a “we’re still having church” message for all snowy days, but if you don’t see a cancellation announcement, you can expect we’ll be here to welcome you in. There’s always room for your own discretion, so if you are uncomfortable driving in the snow when we still have service, you’re more than welcome to stay home and join us online through our Facebook live stream.
